Spring Field Trips

(weekdays only-by appointment)

Spring field trips are available by appointment for school groups or other organized groups. For authorized school groups, classroom teachers are admitted free of charge for each package. For other groups, one group leader for each tour is admitted free of charge for each package. Groups are welcome to bring snacks or lunches. We have picnic tables available outdoors. This package includes a mix of fun, history, farm life, and outdoor activity making it a perfect out-of-the-classroom learning experience for people of any age! School groups should provide a leave-behind copy of their tax exempt forms at the time of their tour to avoid a sales tax charge. We do not accept credit cards. Minimum group charge is $175.00.

Our Spring Package -  Our spring tour consists of a 20–25 minute “I Spy” hayride through our woods and around our scenic country farm. Groups can refer to “I SPY” cards to find different things as they travel on the hayride. Children will learn about the different types of crops we grow and use on the farm and how farmers affect our daily lives. Our tour also includes a visit to the barnyard to pet the animals and hold baby chicks (when hatchlings are available). We have a variety of typical farm livestock and some very special animals for students to meet. The children may interact with the animals within each student’s comfort level. They will see many different types of antique farm equipment and learn how farming has changed over the years. We also offer an interactive childrens' exploration area.

The cost for this field trip is $7.50 ea. for students and chaperons.
